Devang Eye Care is built on a legacy of trust and a tradition of excellence.

It’s a story that began in 1985 when Dr. Tilak Shah, a renowned ENT and Head Neck surgeon, and his wife, Dr. Ramila Shah, a gynaecologist, established the esteemed Devang Nursing Home in Ghatkopar. Their vision was to create a centre of healthcare excellence, a place where patients were treated with compassion and expertise.

Carrying forward this family legacy, their son, Dr. Devang Shah, founded Devang Eye Care in 2009. His aim was to bring the same commitment to ethical and quality care to the field of ophthalmology. He envisioned a multi-speciality eye clinic where advanced technology and expert care would come together under one roof. Today, Devang Eye Care is a testament to that vision, offering a comprehensive range of services and continuing a tradition of trust that spans over three decades.

Dr. Devang Shah

Dr. Devang T. Shah is a highly accomplished ophthalmologist

whose career is marked by academic excellence and a passion for patient care. He graduated from the Grant Medical College of Mumbai University in 2000, where he was awarded a gold medal for securing the highest marks in Medicine and Paediatrics. He also topped the subjects of Eye and ENT. His academic journey continued with a first-rank in the MS examination at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences, Karnataka, in 2005.

Dr. Shah has honed his skills through various prestigious fellowships and training programs at institutions worldwide, including Aravind Eye Hospital (Coimbatore), Sankara Nethralaya (Chennai), Wills Eye Hospital (Philadelphia, USA), and Lions NAB Eye Hospital (Miraj-Sangli). A true believer in continuous learning, he regularly attends national and international conferences to stay abreast of the latest advancements in eye care. He is also dedicated to sharing his knowledge, frequently conducting academic lectures for general physicians and optometrists, and providing free services at community centres like the Chembur Jain Health Centre.
